The Beltsville Volunteer Fire Department recently donated their 2001 Pierce Quantum Fire Engine to the Slanesville Volunteer Fire Department to improve service to the community in West Virginia. This is another great example of Volunteers helping Volunteers serve their communities.

From the Slanesville Volunteer Fire Department....
"We would like to thank Beltsville Volunteer Fire Department for their donation of a 2001 Pierce Quantum Engine. Members of the Beltsville VFD delivered the truck and spent the morning with us. The truck included hose, nozzles, ladders, and some hand tools. This truck will be used as the primary Fire response engine, replacing our 1990 American Eagle which will remain to be used as a reserve unit. We expect the Pierce to be in service by the end of the Month and will be known as Wagon 5."
