Following the recently released changes to PGFD General Order 05-19 regarding changes to distribution of EMS transport funds, a special meeting with our Member Companies Chiefs and Presidents was held on December 20th. The changes and impacts on the Volunteer Fire & EMS Companies in Prince George's County were discussed at length. In response to input from all in attendance, a letter was sent to PGFD and County officials to clarify the opposition to these changes that are scheduled to take effect as of July 1, 2024. It is our intent to work with Prince George's as we represent the best interest of our Volunteer Companies.
